Yesterday was Memorial Day and Jason got to be home with us for the day. Since I have been having contractions on and off, we wanted to get a few things done around the house. We worked in the yard all morning, in the house in the afternoon, and then went to the zoo! I get to take Carson to the zoo a lot, but Jason is normally at work so it was fun for him to show Carson all the animals. Just walking around the zoo started contractions again, so maybe this baby won't be waiting until Saturday to make her appearance. :)
After we got home we had a yummy BBQ, had a nice FHE lesson, and then Jason and I watched Real Steel. What a fun day!
A special "Thanks" goes out to all of those who serve our country in the military. Jason and I both come from a long line of service men and women. Jason's brother and sister are both currently serving and both of our fathers served, as well as many generations before them. Thank you all!

Baby Shower
26 May 2012
Thank you April, Carly, and Ashley for my baby shower! We can't wait for our little girl to be here! Due date is exactly a week away.... Now it's time to start walking!
Reed's Dairy
24 May 2012
This week for FHE we went to Reeds Dairy for an ice cream cone and to see the animals. They have the best homemade ice cream!! We get milk delivered to our house each week and it is amazing. We love Reed's Dairy!
Carson loved all the animals and got to pet a few of them. He saw cows, chickens, ducks, horses, sheep, goats, piglets, and even a baby calf. He would say all of the animal sounds when we came to them. It was a good night!

Staying Busy
20 May 2012
The last week and a half have been busy around our house. Jason and I went on a date last Friday and got to see the Avengers. It was awesome! Jason has been waiting for that movie to come out for months and has watched every trailer for it the day it comes out. We got matching shirts and went and saw it while Carly and Will watched Carson. We were not disappointed!
The next day we went shooting with Chris and Keira. Jason shot Chris' 50 caliber gun and was pretty excited about it. Keira's family has ducklings and Carson got to pet one! He loved it! It was really cute and he kept saying "quack quack". He is so good with his animal sounds!
Jason was supposed to be at convention this week but got to stay home and take care of some issues in the office. I was glad since I'm only 2 weeks away from my due date with the baby. He went into work early and stayed late everyday, but it was still really nice to know he was in town. Carson and I played outside a lot this week and spent time with friends. Ashley and I spent an entire day making jam. We made strawberry, strawberry peach, strawberry apricot, strawberry raspberry, and triple berry. It was a long day, but we got a lot of jam out of it.
Jason and I worked in the yard all day yesterday and I really hoped it would send me into labor. I even mowed the entire back lawn....which did nothing but make me sore. I also canned salsa and made blackberry apricot jam this weekend, both of which turned out great!
On Friday, Carson went #2 in the potty! We have had a potty sitting out for a while now and he will sit on it and pretend to go potty. He had just gotten out of the tub and I could see the face starting, so I told him to go sit on his potty. He did and he used it! Yay! Later on that morning, however, he decided to go #2 in his bedroom and then stepped in it and got it everywhere. A bottle of Sol-u-Mel and Sol-u-Guard later his room was finally livable again. Haha!
Jason was called to be the ward Sunday School President and I was called to be the Young Women's Secretary. We are both really excited about our new callings!
Other than that we are just trying to get things ready for the baby. I need to finish putting her room together and pack my hospital bag.... Hopefully she will give me just a few more days.

Ijump!
10 May 2012
Today, Krysta Miller and I took Maddie and Carson to ijump to play. It is a big building full of trampolines and foam pits. The kids LOVED it! They jumped around for an hour and got all of their energy out. They were having so much fun that Carson cried when I tried to get him to take a picture with me!! By the time we got home he was so tired from all of his running and jumping that he took a 3 1/2 hour nap. Sounds like we might be going there again!!!
Pool and Pineapple
Yesterday we went to some friends house and ate fresh pineapple and let the kids play in the pool. Carson wasn't really the biggest fan because the water was cold and it was nap time, but we still had fun!
Hide and Seek
08 May 2012
Carson decided to move all my mixes, climb up on the pantry shelf, and hide behind all of the food. All I could hear when I called his name was giggling.
Brave New World
I have had the hardest time getting Carson to go down the slide by himself, even if I'm waiting at the bottom for him. He will go down if we sit him on the top and keep our hands on him the whole time, but otherwise wont do it. Imagine my surprise today at the park when he didn't just climb the stairs like he normally does, but actually went down the biggest slide all by himself! Then he crawled off and went back around for another turn!! Silly boy!
The Wheels on the Bus
What makes this little boy happy? Riding the "trucks" at the mall. Good thing he doesn't care if they are on! He would use all my money!
We've waited for a thousand years......
02 May 2012
One month from today you are expected to make your arrival.... You have lots of people ready to meet you. Your daddy and I want to know what you look like and if you will resemble your brother. Carson wants to know if you are going to steal all of his toys and his mommy's attention.
We already love you. Hurry up and get here.
Trip to see Papa
01 May 2012
My dad is such a hard working man. He is constantly working which means he doesn't get to come visit as often as my mom does. He was really missing his grandkids, so Ashley and I loaded up the car and headed down to New Mexico for the weekend to see him. We had 4 kids under the age of 5 and me being 36 weeks pregnant. Driving 12 hours was not exactly fun, but the kids actually did pretty good and it was fun once we got there.
Playing with the dress up clothes |
Carson LOVES his papa. They wore their matching Hawaiian shirts that my dad got while he was in Hawaii and they were best buds all weekend. He even fell asleep on Papa's lap while watching a movie.
We had lots of fun while we were down there and even got to see a few movies! We took the kids to see "Mirror, Mirror" and then Ashley and I snuck out to see the Hunger Games. We even went to some of our favorite places to eat and got stuffed on lots of food. We love going to Nana and Papa's!!
On the way home we stopped in Salt Lake to see Zach and Haleigh and let the kids play at the park. They had so much fun!
